I made a plan for myself on where I was going for the day and had a list in my head of what I wanted to buy (which of course extended as I flicked through the copious amount of records in each store). The Pretty Things

Removing the clear film that is tightly hugging the square jacket, I kneel before my record player and pull out the black disk. Laying the needle into one of the thicker grooved lines, I turn up the volume and lay back on my bed. There’s a loud, twangy guitar ripping and entering obscure soundscapes, showering itself with images of psychedelic lotuses, bright bursts of colour and exploding pops of curvaceous shapes and patterns. Every time you walk into a boutique store, you’re engulfed in a space occupied by eclectic pieces of clothing/crockery/jewellery/material/furniture (etc). It’s usually pretty cool, but also fashions a pretty large price tag. If you were at the first ever OUTSIDEIN last year, you’d understand exactly why it’s labelled as a boutique festival.
